About Ayurveda

The term ‘Ayurveda’ is derived from the Sanskrit ‘ayur’ meaning ‘life’ and ‘veda’ meaning ‘wisdom’.

History

Originating 5,000 years ago in the Himalayas, the traditional holistic healing system of India, Ayurveda is believed to be the oldest-surviving complete medical system in the world. Ayurveda embraces medical science, philosophy, psychology, alchemy and spiritual understanding and is based on the belief that wellness depends on the balance between the mind, body and spirit.

AYURSCIENCE FOUNDERS’ STORY

  • Roots in Ayurveda and Modern Science

Growing up, we were deeply influenced by the wisdom of Ayurveda, passed down through generations in our family. Our ancestors, firm believers in the healing power of nature, relied on herbal remedies for common ailments and overall well-being. These time-honored traditions left a lasting impression on us. However, as we pursued careers in pharmacy, we noticed a gap—modern medicine often focused on treating symptoms rather than addressing the root cause of ailments. This realization sparked our passion to bridge Ayurveda and contemporary pharmacology, combining age-old healing practices with scientifically backed formulations.

  • The Birth of AyurScience

With a strong foundation in pharmaceutics and pharmacology, we recognized the potential of scientifically formulated herbal treatments to address modern health concerns. Ayurveda’s holistic approach held untapped potential, offering natural solutions that could complement and, in some cases, surpass conventional remedies. Inspired by this vision, AyurScience was born—dedicated to developing Ayurvedic herbal medicines and skincare products that balance tradition with innovation. We focus on achieving overall well-being, prioritizing prevention over cure, and ensuring our formulations meet the highest quality standards.

  • A Commitment to Holistic Healing

At AyurScience, we source the finest herbal extracts, ensuring purity and potency, and use evidence-based formulations to create products that nurture the body from within. Each product embodies a perfect blend of Ayurvedic principles and modern pharmacological science, incorporating active, plant-based ingredients backed by clinical data. THE ESSENCEOF AYURVEDA

“Ayurveda has much more to offer than herbal medicine. It is indeed a way of living a healthy life. Ayurveda is a study of the continuous association between the living and its surrounding environment to maintain a state of balance and health. Ayurveda is about bringing a balance of mind-body-spirit, a state of good health and wellness. Ayurveda is an approach, a thought process and practical guide that teaches us what is beneficial and what is harmful to our health.”
